At the time of procedure the doctor will bandage the area. Keep the bandage on and dry for the day. You can expect some tenderness, particularly with pressure such as a tight-fitting shoe, for a day or two following the procedure. Pain can be managed with Extra Strength Tylenol.
The night following the procedure: Remove bandage, wash with soap and water, apply a small amount of antibiotic ointment with adaptic (Vaseline gauze) and regular bandaid.
Further instructions: Continue washing with soap and water two days after. Apply a dry bandaid and no ointment. Continue this for one week.
