FUNGAL TOENAILS

Thick, yellow, unsightly toenails can be challenging and embarrassing.  Patients ask, “Is it a fungus? Is it treatable?” The answer is yes! We have great success with the use of several treatment methods which may include one of, or a combination of, any of the following: 

• Laser treatment
• Mechanical thinning of the nail in the office
• Topical antifungal ointments
• Oral antifungal agents
• Removal of the infected nail and careful protection of the growing, healthy replacement nail. 

Following a simple evaluation, we are able to individualize the treatment plan best suited for any patient.
