Calmare is a highly effective treatment with long-lasting effects. Clinical studies have shown that the technology successfully reduces pain in more than 80 percent of treated patients.
The Calmare device is a U.S. FDA cleared pain therapy medical device. Calmare Pain Therapy Treatment patented technology creates a series of complex artificial neuronal messages that are transmitted to the brain via the body’s dermatome pathways. The Calmare device transmits a "no-pain" message to the painful nerve via electrodes applied to the skin in the region of the patient’s pain. The perception of pain is cancelled when the "no-pain" message replaces that of pain, by using the same pathway through the surface electrodes in a non-invasive way. Regardless of the intensity of the pain, a person’s pain can be completely removed for immediate relief!
Calmare is a non-invasive procedure. Five independent channels are used to send artificial messages of “no pain” to the brain. Instead of the painful sensations normally present, the feet no longer hurt and there is a vibratory sensation at the site where the electrodes are placed.
One treatment session lasts for 45 minutes. Ten (10) total sessions for a two week period are performed in the office. When your treatment time is set up, you’ll need to plan that same time daily for the two week period.
After the series of treatments, a person may experience significant pain reduction for an extended period of time. The duration of time depends upon the underlying cause and intensity of the pain and other factors.
